Moustafa: Hello everyone and welcome back to Passion Sundays, the best way to end a week and start another. Our guest today pursued her passion until she became known as 'The 48-Hour Author'. She helps entrepreneurs, experts and coaches get their first book out in 48 hours – Natasa Denman. Thank you very much for being with us today!Natasa: Thank you, Moustafa! I'm very excited!Moustafa: I am excited. I love what you do! You take something that is so complicated and break it down to being achievable in 48 hours.Natasa: Yes!Moustafa: So tell me a bit more about what you're doing.Natasa: Well, yes, we help people get it done just in a weekend because we want them to grow their businesses and skyrocket their credibility out there, whatever they are thought leader in. So…Moustafa: In 48 hours!Natasa: In 48 hours, yes!Moustafa: How did you do that? It takes people lots of time to figure out a book and to figure out in 48 hours only?Natasa: Yes, yes. Well the book is spoken out. They are not actually typed, which means in 5 hours people get to speak out 40 000 – 45 000 words, which is really a big amount when you think about it.Moustafa: Yes.Natasa: But with proper planning, templates and everything that I have developed makes it super easy, even for those who might be worried about speaking.Moustafa: Wow, ok. And how did you come up with such a process?Natasa: Well, my journey started somewhat 7 years ago when I quit my… well I didn't quit my job yet but my husband did lose a business which was out rock bottom moment which shifted me into a coaching business. that coaching business had no niche until I realize 'Oh my God, I have no niche. I have to solve a problem.' So I wrote my first book on weight loss and ultimately my first niche was weight loss – lose 10 kilos. And what that did, it skyrocketed my credibility, which meant that in 90 days I was fully booked as a coach, finally after making only about 7,000 in the first year when I had nothing.Moustafa: Wow.Natasa: And as time progressed, I learned more from all these practitioners that were coming to me and saying 'How did you write this book? Can you show us how to develop products?' And one day I wrote another book, which was ready in 48 hours and I realized I could reverse engineer this and offer it to people as a solution to help them build their brand and their credibility. So that's what I've been doing. In the last three and a half years, we've run 15 retreats and helped 150 people write their books in just 48 hours.Moustafa: Wow, that's a lot of books. But what made you even want to write a book on your own in 48 hours? You must have been under certain pressure…Natasa: Yes, you're right! Well, it was a book that I've co-wrote with someone else and we were both very busy at this stage because I've already had my first book and so I decided, I've said 'Let's go away in the weekend and we actually intended to type because we were already writing a half a book each let's say. But then as we were getting ready for the weekend and I interviewed someone just like you're doing it right now, I had transcribed the interview and I realized that's much faster than actually sitting there typing words on a computer. So when me and this other person went away, we decided that we'd speak for 17 to 20 minutes per chapter and that would give us the whole book content. And we only completed it in 3 hours the whole weekend. It only took us three hours.Moustafa: Wow, that's amazing! I love how you actually turned around a challenge that was facing you.Natasa: Yeah…Moustafa: As you described, it was rock bottom and you made something really amazing out of it just by pursuing your passion.Natasa: Yes.Moustafa: So two questions come into mind here. How did you find passion when times were tough because usually in a time like this… Your husband lost his job, you've been coaching for a year and only made 7,000 dollars.Natasa: Yes.Moustafa: That's usually a time for people to quit and say 'Nothing is working for me'.Natasa: Yes, yes. I'm very consistent at taking action and my mom always said to me 'Every beginning is hard. So I always remember that. When I start something new that I have to push through. And I think if you put enough effort for a couple of years, to figure it out, it takes two years to have a breakthrough, but you got to be putting focus, effort, action and be consistent. That's exactly how long, when I had that turnaround point for my own business. So that's how I kept going. Luckily my husband did get another job very quickly so we were just making ends meet.Moustafa: Wow, amazing. When you're talking about just making ends meet I know you are just about to hit a 7-figure business now?Natasa: Already over 7 figures, yeah.Moustafa: Over 7 figures?Natasa: 1.5, yeah.Moustafa: 1.5 and that's in less than…?Natasa: We're about to celebrate seven years in business but we hit that milestone about 4 years in so we've been consistent now for the last 3 years.Moustafa: And that was barely from making ends meet just by staying consistent in your passion.Natasa: That's right.Moustafa: And the next question that comes up is – You did not clearly know that was your passion getting into publishing or helping people find their voice or their book. So did you at times doubt that what you were doing was your passion?Natasa: Yes.Moustafa: Were you always looking for the next thing?Natasa: Yes, yes. For 3 and a half years I evolved if you like. You know, from the weight loss to the product development, doing a lot of business mentoring as well with business owners but I didn't have my thing. That signature thing if you like. Then as I evolved it took 3 and a half years to figure out it was ultimately to being an author and now there's been 3 and a half years of signature thing going really well and we're taking it to the US next month so it's really exciting.Moustafa: I really hope we'll see you in Dubai too. Hopefully you'll get it to Dubai soon.Natasa: Yes!Moustafa: Natasa, I love it! I'm not gonna call you the '48-hour+ author', I'm gonna say '48 hours to turn your passion into a book'.Natasa: Love it, love it! Thank you!Moustafa: Awesome!
