The Thirteen Rules: Success Secrets from Henry Ford, J.D. Rockefeller, President Woodrow Wilson and Thomas Edison?
Hello, everyone and welcome back to PassionSundays, the best way to end the week and start another.I'm now going to tell you about a book that talks about all of them!Would you like to learn the success passion secrets of the five hundred most powerful, successful and rich people that have ever lived, including Henry Ford, J.D. Rockefeller, President Woodrow Wilson and Thomas Edison? Well, I'm going to tell you about a book that includes all of these. That book is ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill. Now forget the fact that the name might sound cheesy because the book is phenomenal. And, if there is one book that you should ever read in your life on the journey of growth, that book is Think and Grow Rich. And I mean it! That book should do if you don't wanna read any other book. So, the story behind the book goes as follows. Napoleon Hill was a young journalist who had a chance to interview the world's richest man who ever lived. Back then that was Andrew Carnegie in the 1800s. Carnegie controlled the steel industry globally. His wealth accumulated to what's equivalent of a hundred billion dollars in today’s money. Not an easy feat for someone who started just as a simple worker in a steel factory. So, after the interview, Andrew Carnegie turns to Napoleon Hill and says” “If I entrust you with the responsibility to go interview the richest, most powerful people on the planet, would you dedicate the next twenty years of your life to doing it, knowing that I'm not gonna pay you for it?”Hill has a confusing moment. He has to make a commitment for the next twenty years of his life to study that many people without any financial support from the richest man on the planet. His thinking wast that “Carnegie must have seen something in me and knows that I can do it. Keeping in mind that, with the power of Andrew Carnegie back then, he could open doors to meet anybody, which Carnegie did by getting Hill in front of President Woodrow Wilson.Anyway, Napoleon Hill, for the next twenty years, goes and interviews five hundred of the richest, most powerful people ever back then. And I'm talking people back then, who got there, got there with a lot of hard work and persistence. There was none of the Internet wobble and Internet boom and all the online marketing where a lot of things happened without you doing much. These people had to actually work and earn every single penny and power they have ever made. So, imagine the secrets of success of those people. Now, all of the knowledge from that research was distilled into that book which is called ‘Think and Grow Rich.’So, bottom line is, there are thirteen principles learned from that research. Would you like to know what they are? I'm gonna list them for you, very quickly and in a summary. But you're gonna have to go and read the whole book. On an audiobook, it's actually about twelve hours. So, there's a lot of knowledge there that I cannot summarize in few minutes on Passion Sundays. The first of those rules is desire and definiteness of purpose. In simple terms, you have to really know what is it that you want, and you have to know that you want it so bad. Or, in my own words, you have to be passionate about it.Second thing is faith. You have to truly believe that you’re meant for that which it is you're pursuing and it is meant for you. You have to have faith that you are gonna get there sooner or later. You have to have faith that it's always possible for you to achieve what you truly want to achieve.Third thing is auto suggestion.Meaning that it’s you having the ability to monitoring your self-talk. Telling yourself positive things to suggest to your mind that you’re going to achieve the outcome you want. The one you have been truly wanting to achieve. The one you truly desire.Fourth is organized knowledge. You see you have to really focus on that thing that you want to achieve. Go learn it. And learn it very well. Organize this knowledge. Organized knowledge is power. Knowledge alone is not power. Organized knowledge and applied knowledge is power. After that, you have to get into the planning and action step. You have to have a plan because, without a plan, you're gonna fail and you can watch my episode on planning, by the way.Next, is imagination in number 5.You see, if your mind is blocking the possibility of you actually achieving what you define as success, then how are you ever gonna achieve it? Or in Napoleon Hill’s words, “That what the mind can conceive, the mind can achieve.” So, you have to be able to imagine it. Even Albert Einstein said that “imagination is more important than knowledge.”Number 6 is decisions. Decision-making is crucial on the journey to success. You have to be decisive and you have to beat procrastination.Persistence is number 8. You have to be persistent about what you want and never quit. In the book, Hill talks to Thomas Edison after he succeeded. Hill asked, “what if you had not succeeded and achieved what you wanted to achieve?” Edison’s reply was, “I would still be searching for it and working on it till today.” That’s the level of persistence I'm talking about.Number 9 in our count down of the thirteen rules is what Hill termed, ‘the power of the mastermind alliance.’You see, in a year with a mastermind alliance of smart people, you can achieve more than that you can achieve in a lifetime. So, go find yourself a group of people, a wolf pack, that you can go hunting with. The mystery of sexual energy transmutation comes in at number 10, and is a very interesting. Here’s how it goes. When you are looking for a partner, find one that is compatible. A relationship partner. Because partnerships impact your life drastically. Remember, this is coming from the five hundred richest, most powerful people on the planet. They talk about the transmutation of energy from sexual into creative and productive energy. So, rather than consuming the energy through pleasure, you redirect it into creativity in whatever you choose to do in your life.At number eleven is trying to control your subconscious mind. You see, it’s very important for you to take control of your mind. Or else it will take control of you. And that comes with discipline and practice. To take control of what's going inside your head. It's not up to your head to think what it wants to think, it's up to you to decide what your head thinks. At the end of the day, your brain should be working for you.Next thing is the break. You see, when you're smart, you surround yourself with people that are smarter than you. You stand on the shoulders of giants. So, in your journey of success, you have to always seek people that are smarter, the people that can teach you, and you can learn from.Last one, number thirteen, is all about the sixth sense, or that gut feeling. All successful people have it, because there's only so much that your brain can do, but there are things you're gonna have to be intuitive about. The variables in life are changing every single day. Now, this was just a quick review of these thirteen principles and success secrets of the richest most powerful people that ever lived. As I said to you, it's a very rich book that is worth reading. And if there is only one book, let me repeat, one book that you will ever read on your journey to success, ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill is the book to read. Actually read is the wrong word. You have to go and study and apply and be persistent, and I promise you, success and riches, financial and in every other area of your life, will be all yours. What do you think?
